My day starts early, even before the restaurant opens. I wash and chop vegetables, marinate meat, and make sure all ingredients are ready for the orders. This preparation, called “mise en place,” is the heart of the job because it keeps everything running smoothly.
During the lunch and dinner rush, I assist in cooking, plating, and restocking ingredients. The kitchen can get hot and chaotic, but teamwork and quick thinking make it manageable. By the end of the day, I clean my station, store leftovers, and get the kitchen ready for the next shift.
