A Day in My Life at the Fiesta
Fiesta day in our barangay always feels different. I woke up early because of the loud music from the speakers outside and the smell of food cooking in every house. When I stepped out, I saw colorful banderitas hanging across the street and people already busy preparing tables full of pancit, lumpia, and other dishes. Everyone was smiling and greeting each other like we were all one big family.
Around mid-morning, the parade started. The drums were so loud I could feel them in my chest. Dancers in bright costumes passed by, and little kids ran around excitedly. It was hot, and I was already sweating, but I did not even mind because the vibe was just so happy.
In the afternoon, I joined some games and laughed a lot even though I did not win anything. By nighttime, the lights turned on and the fireworks lit up the sky. I went home tired and a little messy, but honestly, it was worth it. Fiesta day is always loud, colorful, and full of memories I will never forget.
